Belmonts dude got raped going to the basket on the play before the coast to coast. Still, how do you let a guy go right down the middle to get the winning basket? They played well but didnt deserve to win doing that.
I think if he would have taken the ball to the basket a little stronger he might (might) have gotten the call. In hindsight, I think the Belmont coach should have designed a better play. I think I would have spread the court and let the one guy taken to the basket did not force anything and to kick it back out for an outside shot if he did not have a clear path. That way I think if Belmont had taken an outside shot with the a few seconds left on the shot clock they might have had a better chance for a rebound. IMO

Duke tried to draw a charge but slid sideways right into him... and the guy from behind seemed to draw contact as well.

If there was half that much contact at the other end, anyone think it goes uncalled? Poor transition D, but I think that factored into the matador D a bit.

I forgot about that. Thought the very same thing. They should have gotten back. The code should have told them that when he designed that play.

But for the disparity in free throws, West Virginia would be leading Duke at halftime of their second round tourney game. As it is, Duke leads by 5, 34-29.

Free throws in the 1st half: West Virginia 3 for 3, Duke 12 for 12.

Everyone's argument is a lack of post presence... They gave up points in the paint to Hansbrough, but they equaled UNC in rebounds... They find ways to get it done and play great defense... If the 3's aren't falling they drive it to the hoop and get buckets or get to the line... They're going to be a tough, tough out...

they'll be an easy out the second they go cold.

this is crazy....and crap at the same time....

WVU is out-rebounding Duke by a TON.

Duke can't hit water if it fell off a boat from 3....

Duke also has outshot WVU from 3 by at least 8 more shots.

Yet Duke has a decided advantage in number of attempts from the FT line.

Yeah Duke doesn't get all the calls :roll1:
