Duke Blue Devils (that rat faced scumbag)

Hansbrough didn't think the foul was intentional.
his statement just appears to be good public relations.
"I don't think he did it intentionally. I don't really like talking about it because I really don't know how to handle the situation, but I'm fine right now."
also, what hansbrough claims here has no bearing on whether henderson's foul was intentional.

and im supposedly the crazy one...
so, just because hansbrough claims something makes it so? that he was on the receiving end of henderson's foul does not mean that he has special insight as to henderson's intent. as i stated before, henderson and henderson only knows what his intent was.

so what makes you imply that he has a vicious intent?

Here is Greg Doyles "glowing" piece on Coach K. A must read for all non duke fans...

http://www.sportsline.com/columns/story/10042792

I don't know much about the 1992 incident, anyone else remember much about it.
Eh, I'm not a lot more impressed with this excretion from Doyel than I was with his last effort at showing off his 'tude. That act gets old quickly, regardless of your personal feelings about the subject of his latest hit piece.

As for the '92 episode involving Laettner and Timberlake, it was clearly intentional. It was also clearly not a "stomp". It was basically a push, but given that Timberlake was laying on the ground, and Laettner used his foot to push him, you could make a legitimate argument that he should have been tossed. Bear in mind that the recounting of it that was linked above was from pro-UK site.

Used his foot to push him? WTF? Though hardly a military grade heel stomp, it was much more than a lil shove. Gimme a break. That was also the same season that Damon Baily flopped after a little "elbow shove" from Funderburke and Lawrence was called "bush league" by Dookie V. Dookie V said "there's no place for that in College Basketball. Then his buddy Christain politely shoved a guy on the ground with his foot and he was only "caught up in the emotion of the game".

I'm not arguing that Vitale is evenhanded in his "analysis", or even debating whether Laettner was a prick. But as to that particular episode, I think to call it a stomp is a gross exaggeration. As I said, a valid argument can be made that he should have been tossed, but even the bigbluehistory claims that he should've been ejected "not because the 'stomp' [quotation marks in original] was particularly harmful to Timberlake but because it was completely premeditated and showed bad sportsmanship."
