I wouldnt mind seeing fickell back next year. I didnt mind the play calling. We attacked with blitzes right off the bat. The problem is there were always bail out options open. When that didnt work they went to zone.

I think the entire staff gets 1 more year, if someone leaves for another job, I don't think Urban will stop them but I don't think he's gonna walk someone out the door. 3rd year in the system for almost everyone. It will really hinge on the LB/S improvement next year

If tOSU beats MSU (a big if) and if tOSU wins the title game (a big if), it is the single most perfect time for folk to leave. Their stock will never be higher. Meyer only made people promise to stay 2 years.

Coach Fick needs a really good game this week to take some sting out of that last performance and should we get there, he'll need the best gameplan he's had to date to take down FSU.

I love Fick as a player and as an alumni of The Ohio State University. I'm not sure he's the motivator or best strategist we could have at the helm. I'm praying everyday he proves me wrong.

This is why a major change is needed. Mediocrity is being accepted on the defensive side of the ball. That is unacceptable at THE OSU. Fickell and Withers should be updating their resumes, because their seats are more than warm right now.

I doubt that mediocrity is being accepted. I suspect that Fick was chippy about the question rather than any malaise.

Whithers used a similar response last year, when OSU struggled to contain UAB. Ohio State defense has been struggling against mediocre offenses for a couple years.

Despite a rough outing between the 20-yard lines, the OSU defense did keep the Blazers out of the endzone, and that's apparently what co-defensive coordinator Everett Withers is most concerned about.

"I think we gave up 15 points, that's all I give a shit about," he said after the game, somewhat jokingly.
