DT Luke Fickell (HC Wisconsin Badgers)

Most will. I won’t. My eyes show me his desire and unwillingness to adjust to what it will take to win The Game will never change. He isn’t beating that team up north again. Not with this style and mindset. CJ saying this game doesn’t define his career or this team is a snapshot of what the mindset is inside the Woody under Day’s leadership. He is not the guy.
Lol. Dude.

I haven’t forgotten Urban’s shortcomings and sitting in the rain at the Shoe on a cold November night as he refused to run Zeke in a loss to MSU. I also haven’t forgotten seeing Woody hung in effigy on High Street after a tie with Baylor or Earle going 9-3 year after year. Least of all I haven’t forgotten Cooper going 2-13-1 against Michigan.
2-10-1 actually. But it seemed even worse.

I still think that OSU could land them when the time is right. But Day ain’t going anywhere for a while. Fans are going to be emotional over the last 2 outcomes of The Game, most will be back on board by seasons end

I'm always on board with the Buckeyes, but I'm not sold on Day as the head coach. I understand he's not going anywhere, but there are a lot of head coaches who could've done what he's done with that talent the last two years.

Rhule (Temple), Fickell (UC), and Harbaugh (Stanford) have proven they can turn losing programs into winners. Day was handed the keys to a Lamborghini and asked not to wreck it. He hasn't proven himself as a head coach, yet. He just hasn't crashed the car.

To have the roster he's had the last two years and get thumped by TTUN twice, while failing to reach the CCG, isn't getting the most out of your players. Great coaches do that. We'll see if he can improve on that going forward because, as you said, he's going to have the opportunity.

If you honestly think that Rhule and Fickell are better coaches than Day, then we’re not watching the same teams. Hairball is still up in the air, but I understand again, emotions are high and fans want heads to roll. It’s a tale as old as time. I’ve seen Day win The Game, and also win CFP games, I haven’t seen any of those 3 do that. Hairball needed 5yrs to get to where he is, and almost lose his job multiple times.

But logic won’t matter for fans for a while, many of you all want jobs to be lost to feel better. And think that firing Day, without any viable options should be the answer

You do realize UC is considered a basketball school right?

It's almost like the other team wants to win sometimes.
Yeah, fans being emotional. I remember when fans wanted Tress gone after 2006 and 2007 because he couldn’t bring in SEC speed, and would never beat SEC teams. At that time fans took the game for granted and expected to win, and got pissed off that Tressel couldn’t win NCs or even big OOC games(USC and Texas come to mind). Like I’ve said, fans have short memories, and don’t like to be remembered about their past views. Because now Tressel, Meyer, Fickell, and Vrabel are seen as the best coaches ever, and all had/have MASSIVE flaws. Day has his issues, but what coach doesn’t? Smart couldn’t beat Saban, until he did, now he’s seen as a great! Saban now is seen as past his prime after just being in the NC! Fans think too much with emotion, especially after big losses. This message board is resembling a Paul Finebaum show after a Bama loss right now
It’s not doom and gloom folks
