DT Luke Fickell (HC Wisconsin Badgers)

His goal should be to be out of there by the time Cincinnati plays OSU in 2019 lol. But seriously, his second game is a road trip to Ann Arbor. He'll have his guys ready for sure. Cincy should be a great market for his recruiting skills. And having a Catholic school background himself, he should have a great talent base available to him.

Saw something, somewhere that said Fick is signed, sealed, and delivered. Glad to see it. It will give him a chance to actually run his own program, not just baby-sit it. Also to lose the stigma of leading tOSU to its worst record in this century. Yeah, I know, it was his love of tOSU that had him try to hold the pieces together, and he did a creditable job, period. Now he's had a lot more experience, and seen how Urb runs the program, so he's got a chance to erase the past and build his own future. Also, pretty much certain that a job such as Ohio State head football coach wouldn't have gone to him, without sitting in the big chair a while first. It's not a learning position. UC could be a great fit for him, and I (we) wish him all the best. Taking Coombs with him is a smart idea, as he's entrenched in the Cincy area (still lives there, I recollect), and would be instant credibility. Yeah, would like to see him hire some of the tOSU grads that are currently in coaching. You gotta hire people loyal to you, else you're putting the slip-knot around your own throat. Nevertheless, It's time, sounds like the right place, and with some success down there, might pave the way back to tOSU as the head dog, instead of one of the team. Or the Dantonio or Kelly path, leading a top university. Go Bucks, and Go Fickell
