Have to wonder if Buckeyes were in midst of preparing for season, if maybe this situation is avoided....it’s possible it makes no difference, but it came to mind.
It’s absolutely a fair thing to consider. Athletes are better off when they are locked into their routine.
I will say that I'm shocked that this happened on Chittenden, the Park Avenue of Columbus.
I lived on 14th between Summit and 4th back in the late 80s400 block is all the way pastSummit4th Avenue and almost to the fairgrounds. I lived on Summit and 13th for a year, and that was generally considered the border of safe/dangerous in my late 80s days.

I left Columbus in Sept 1986, not to return until 1998. I was also, er, "inebriated" a lot. So I don't remember. LolYou may have stumbled into my end of Summer party when I hired a band to play my front porch.
Oh the parties will still be there but I guarantee you there would be less infections, less crimes committed, etc if players were in their routines, with the COVID protocols etc.Yeah, because no player ever went to a party, was out past midnight or got into trouble during a normal season. I'm not going to use this as some lame excuse to indict Warren or the Big Ten presidents for being in any way responsible for what happened to him.
