As expected today, #buckeyes OL target Drew Richmond committed to #OleMiss today. Will visit #OhioState in November.
In committing, Richmond cited the 85 miles from Memphis to Oxford, Miss., that would allow his family easier travel to games. He had been sought by almost every major school in the country, including Tennessee, UCLA and Alabama. Then he said something that amounted to a huge crack in his resolve: “Ohio State was always No. 1, and no matter what, I will always be a Buckeye at heart."
5* OL Drew Richmond tells me hes visiting #OhioState for the Michigan game. Hearing Rashad Roundtree may do the same https://ohiostate.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=435&tid=174764118&mid=174764118&sid=917&style=2…

Mississippi commit OL Drew Richmond says he is visiting Ohio State for the Michigan game.
Oher was before Freeze. That was Orgeron and/or Nutt. Looking at his wiki page he may have been on staff as TE coach, but nothing really to do with Oher. Not that I think that has much to do with his recruitment anyways. The distance is likely the biggest factor to overcome though Coach Hugh Freeze for Ole Miss is a significant factor as he already has a tremendous legacy in Memphis as a high school coach + the draw of being "the blind side" coach of Michael Oher. Hard to see him decommitting with Freeze in place and Ole Miss still playing really well.
