Drew Barker (official thread)

Would he be a starter in our offense someday? He looks like a better runner than a passer, my concern is that he isn't going to run like Braxton does. And he looks more like a Guiton passer. Love the leadership and intangibles but would he better a better 2?

There not many humans alive that can run and move on a football field at the qb position like Braxton.

I'm interested to hear about this visit that Herman used.

I would really like this kid to get an offer quickly. He can be the leader of this class. I know a lot of the top prospects like him and want to play with him.

I've felt the same way, and love his desire to be a Buckeye... but in the end, I don't think he will break anyone's decision. I doubt Raekwon Mcmillan would change his mind if Drew went elsewhere. Of course it helps, and it creates unity, but the program is much bigger. Urban will get the best for what he wants to do, they know who Drew is.

Agreed. However, since we're on scholarship restrictions, we'll probably have a small class next year. I would be surprised if we take 2 QBs, so evaluating properly is even more important. I assume this explains the staff's hesitation to extend offers to any '14 QB this early.
