Why a person is evil maybe the root of the matter is spirtual. To each it's own for calling or saying a person is evi, to me there is alot of reasons why.

"The occult" is a very generic term. By making such a sweeping statement as "most evil people are into the occult" you are lumping so many factors and so many subjective subjects into a flat statement that it just comes off as incredibly ill-thought out.

being in a occult doesn't mean your David koresh or Jim Jones. Maybe I shouldn't used the word occult. I stand corrected.

Here's kind of a stupid hippie point of view that people are basically batteries. We store up good or evil dependent upon how much of each kind of "energy" that we are exposed to. But to make it more complicated, everybody has different capacities. Personally, I believe that up until the point that you excercize your ability to relaease your "neagative energy" in a harmful or destructive manner more often than you release your "positive energy" in a helpful or healing manner,you can probably still be considered a "generally" good person. Concious or not, I think that bad is bad, or good is good, and it is a broad spectrum and is difficult to quantify. Everyone will have differing levels of "good" and "evil" that they are willing to tolerate and that is all that really matters. Honestly, this is such a subjective question that you could get thousands of different points of view from just the members on this site. This is just one.

I always enjoy this quote, not so much because of what it says, but who said it. When reading that quote, it is always important to remember that Pascal was a deeply committed Christian who believed in divine revelation, a God with whom you could have a personal relationship, and the evil that resides within all men.
