If he is truly 6'6" that isn't so bad.

Good feet + 6'6" 360 + guard + Ohio State strength and conditioning =

Ohio State hasn't had a guy like that since the 2002/2003 line.

So, who would a thunk he would be moved to the DL -

? The practice was the first for Chris Carter on defense. The lineman switched sides for the first time Wednesday. Meyer said defensive line coach Mike Vrabel and defensive coordinator Luke Fickell have wanted Carter on defense for some time.

"We just had some serious depth issues on the offensive line, so we didn't have the luxury to move him over. But he wasn't progressing, (so) maybe give him a shot on defense. We were planning on doing that at some point, so we went half way through (spring) and said let's give it a shot now."

I'm optimistic he'll end up contributing. His first practice at DT was rough but he has the physical tools and it sounds like a good attitude. He just needs time.

Regardless of where you think he fits, he's a Buckeye now. Probably not the place for this discussion.

I think Chris has found his true position. He looked pretty good at DT for the limited amount of time he's played there, and will be a solid back-up DT this season and should see some good time in rotation.

Indeed got his hands up a little high a few times and all he has is a bullrush atm but he took his man 5 yards deep into the backfield a few time.

He had one play where he just pushed the center back. Another play (I think a TD run) he got double teamed and got driven 5 yards back. He has potential for sure, once he figures out how to bring it everyplay and not get pushed out of it. On the flip side I saw hank get double teamed twice where he didn't give an inch and still made the play in another.
