You mean just the same way you ignore "hit or bomb?" Only two people had posted before her.

Anyhoo, my wife loves them but I don't really care about them one way or the other.

Right, cause if I ask, "do you people like Bob Taft" I'm clearly only talking to the first person on this thread to say "Bob Taft."

I sure hope you don't teach English - at least where discerning meaning from context is concerned.

I HATE country music, but have always been surprisingly fond of the Dixie Chicks' music (sans "Goodbye Earl"). I get sick of people choosing to judge certain artists, based on their values, while letting others go free of criticism for their lifestyles that condone drug use, violence and other abhorrent behavior.

God forbid that those un-American whores try to taint our coutry's image by exercising free speech. As controversial as this whole thing has been, apparently, a few people agree...Imperialist Dubya's approval rating just dropped to 37%.

Wow, I come back from class, and all hell has broken loose!

Thump, BKB has nailed it on the head. What I was saying is that how can you judge a CD before it has ever come out, so why ask us now? Why is that so hard for you to comprehend?

I'll admit that I like the Dixie Chicks, and not for political reasons. They don't even talk about their politics in their songs. I like their sound, and I've seen them live, and they were great. And I hate country music -- most of the modern stuff anyway.

The Dixie Chicks were only country on their first two releases. After that, they transitioned to more of a pop music sound, ala Shania Twain.

Did you like their version of Landlside when they sang it with Stevie Nicks?

My wife loves that song.

Her favorite karaoke song is Sin Wagon.

I don't know if I've heard it. I'll check it out.

Sin Wagon is a fun song -- "doin' a little mattress dancin' ... that's right I said mattress dancin'!"

Manfred and I want to play "White Trash Wedding" before our wedding ceremony. I would love to see his mother's facial expression when she hears it!
