...I hate Bush.
Well, considering the recent crackdown on certain terminology... no comment. :wink2:

...How gay is it that the Southern States banned them on the radio just for speakin' their minds? Anyone ever heard of freedom of speech?
Saw31 did an excellent job of clarifying the distinction between your conception of "freedom of speech" and it's reality. I will simply add that any artist always needs to keep their general audience in mind regarding their public statements/actions. While they may have made an appropriate statement for their immediate audience at the time (overseas), they completely failed to consider the ramnifications of their remarks on their general (and more significant) audience back in the states, many of whom either support Bush or don't like people badmouthing their POTUS, regardless of whether they share similar beliefs.

In this case, their greatest audience is simply holding them accountable for their statements, with which they mostly disagree. Since I primarily listen to country music, I do fall into that category. Truth be told though, I don't usually buy CDs (maybe 1 every 2 - 3 years) but I do change the station whenever one of their songs is played. It's my own way of making my own little personal protest. Also, I really lost much appreciation for their work a long time before their poorly considered remarks, when they released the "Earl's gotta die" song. That song is very annoying, IMHO.

I never cared much for their music at all, I've heard this "Earl" song BrutuS mentions, but I'm neither annoyed by it or interested in hearing it again. I don't dig country music generally, so...

Anyway, they did make a bad PR move considering their fan base when they decided to say Bush embarrassed them. Frankly, I thought maybe I'd give them shot and give em a listen, but then I realized, nope... still don't like country. Fuck em.

Jesus, Thump... you can't be serious. (from the looks of it, you're not)

Ignore her use of the phrase "you people" -which directly indicates she talking to multiple persons - why don't you.

Edit.... Oh, yeah? You were wrong about not investing in Ebay upon start up.
