While I do think there is a time and place to address these issues, I agree

I'm not going to turn this into a political debate, or opinion thread, as there is a section to talk about that.

Yep, not my intention to turn it into a political debate. Just pointing out that instead of being concerned with the victims in this, someone took the opportunity to say something in the political realm.

Yep. But there has to be a discussion down the line. One that involves common sense people (AKA not the NRA and not the people who want to repeal the 2nd amendment).

People who can actually sit down and talk like normal human beings in the real world, not people who think this is the frontier nor people who envision a world of ponies and rainbows.

Listening to CNN....

(paraphrased)

"The gunman used tear gas. Tear gas in an enclosed area is paralyzing..."

Uh huh....that's why yours truly got gassed....in an enclosed area.....

CNN, please. Stop fanning the flames of terror. The guy used the gas to disorient and confuse the people.

Hmm. After hearing the phrase "common sense people", AKAK isn't the first person that comes to mind.

I'm not trying to be insensitive, but what the hell were 3 and 6 month old infants doing at a midnight movie?

I guess the babysitter was in another theater?

Listen folks, I know this might sound insensitive, but we here in Omaha went through something like this a few years ago. I know people that were in the mall when Robert Hawkins came through Von Marr and started killing people. It's very hectic.

That being said, the national news media jumps all over it and tries to make it into more than what it really is - a sad young man who has obvious mental issues goes crazy.

Such agreement and civility has no business being in the Poli Forum. :tongue2:
