Deion Sanders (HC Colorado)

Blame the elitist mods and their new fancy site.

Damn inflation. I hear this place is charging $149.95 now.

That's the most unmotivated Monday-morning zoom chat HR-led group activity I've ever seen.
'yea yea yea coach. it's time it's time it's time. Can we go now? I wanted to take my husky for a walk before the scrum meeting in an hour.'

So... Offensive Linemen can't be "the man". Only skill players count, I guess. I hope his son has life insurance. I know PAC has been garbage, but I suspect they got some DLs that Jackson State hasn't seen.

I'll never understand it
It's easy. He's over selling "hope" massively to a fan base that hasn't had it in years!. And it helps even more that he's a big name HOFer who's seen coaching success(albeit at a much smaller school). And the fact that he went to a school who has been utterly terrible for so long gives him a VERY long leash!
Maybe you were being facetious with your statement, and already knew this, but I'd say just enjoy the show in Boulder for the next few years.

Deion Sanders meets Colorado mascot, Ralphie the Buffalo, for first time

Sanders thought he was safe until he saw Ralphie run straight toward the trailer — and him.

"Oh no. We're supposed to stay here?" Sanders said. "I'm not standing here while this thing is coming at me full speed!"

The NFL legend got increasingly more frightened as Ralphie came closer, even attempting to hide behind one of his camera operators. Fortunately for everyone involved, both the mascot and one of the biggest coaching hires of the college football offseason emerged unscathed.

"Ralphie was intimidating," Sanders said afterward. "That was intimidating. That was something."

I am 100% not sold on Coach Prime. He has done well at places by having way more talent than the other teams. Whether that was at the HS level or the college level. Lets see how this works now that he is playing with the big boys and the talent evens out and execution and scheme come into play. All that rah rah BS and being "real" and "cool" goes out the door when they start punching you in the face. And no other team is impressed with him or his players. Not to mention, his son may find out that real college defenses are a bit more difficult to play against and especially throw against. Real schemes with intricate zone defenses and much better execution of schemes.

I will agree with the fact that he does seem to believe in player accountability and family approach. And I do think his message is a good one. But there are a ton of coaches singing a similar song. And they are not winning either. Quite honestly in the few outtakes they show of him his style and such reminded me way more of the Last Chance U Community college coaching takes than what I have seen at the higher levels of college coaching. I have never seen Day or Dantonio or Tucker yelling at players in team meetings and discussing things like keeping the toilets clean.....just does not happen like that at the higher levels. I would suggest that if the HC is getting into that type of stuff things are off the rails and winning is no longer the focus.
So he is going to have to change his approach. Which maybe is not a big problem for him. But a roster of 100+ guys and a staff of over likely 30-40 when including training table and such is just too large to be spending time talking about folding towels. Not to mention the interviews and recruiting and alumni events and also the donors. It is a completely different world and so I am sure I am one of many who are curious to how this will work out.

Pretty much what he says about tackling too.
