Defensive Staff Next Year?

Ryan Day just won 11 games and a Rose Bowl, yet he's nuking the staff because he knows Nov 27 was unacceptable. The product on the field in 2021 was not acceptable.

This is a "choke you over a game of checkers" move. I approve.

It wasn't just November 27th that was unaccetable. That was probably the straw that broke the camel's back. Sept 2, Sept 11, and Nov 6 were all unacceptable. Changes NEEDED to be made

According to this article from PokesReport.com, Oklahoma State DQC coach Brent Zdebski will be heading to Ohio State as well. Article also states that Koy McFarland, mentioned in an earlier post, essentially served as LBs coach at Oklahoma State practices while Knowles roamed and coached up the entire defense.

Austin Ward also posted on the LR forums that some former Duke staffers that worked with Knowles will be coming on as analysts and QC coaches. No names mentioned.

Like that they will have additional analysts. Feel like Day started buying into this after the NC game and now they're adding 4-5 more QC guys on that side of the ball.

I figured this was more what LJsr was like today. Especially knowing that he may have competent defensive coaches around and a possible NC in the next 1-2yrs

totally. we need more “depth” on that side of the ball. I don’t mean personnel depth but rather scheme depth and adjustment depth. it felt like once plan (a) was gone we didn’t have alternatives on defense. More QC and analyst staff should help give us more horsepower to have more defensive scheme depth
