Decanonized Mythologized Disgraced Ped State Monster Coach Joe Paterno (Zombie Icon)

No, the truly sad day was when all of this broke. At least to me, to see the epic failure, legally and morally, at every conceivable level (janitorial staff, to GA, to head coach, to AD, to VP, to president) that allowed a predator to prey on the most vulnerable in our society, at a goddamn institution of higher education, that was a sad day for our society, our humanity.

Sorry man, this is not even in the same galaxy as when Woody was fired. That was football......this is not.

No, the truly sad days were the days when those kids were sexually assaulted, molested, and raped.

Hearing about the actions wasn't sad, it was appalling.

(Not trying to sound like a dick, but I am. Sorry)

If those Penn State students storming the streets really want what's best for Paterno, they'd be glad he now has the free time to shake off the blinders, realize the consequences of his actions, and take steps toward making amends in the time he has left. Who knows if he'll do that, and I doubt he could do anything that even begins to make up for his failure to the kids involved, but he has the opportunity to try.

Dear Joepa,

I hope every waking moment of the rest of your miserable rotten life will be spent contemplating the worth of a football record in exchange for enabling a serial rapist to continue his evil practice.

I also hope that every moment of your sleep is tortured by the nightmares you helped create.

Sincerely,

A human being

To all of those State Penn students out protesting, you are despicable - utterly despicable. Read the grand jury report, do not go outside until you read that report. You are supporting a child rapist and a man who covered up and oversaw a child rapist. State Penn students you have overwhelmed me, you are supporting and marching and rioting for a pedophile. For all of the sympathy that may be directed toward Paterno, please shift all of that to the victims who were sodomized, abused, and taken advantage of by a man in a power position for years. Do not forget what Sandusky is accused of doing.

When is it on?

Okay, NOW I am officially concerned for our boys. These jackasses are out protesting in favor of a guy who allowed one of his friends, former coaches, and player to rape and molest little boys?!?

It may not happen, but I hope we hang half a hundred on their asses out of SPITE for this asinine behavior.

In the teams defense, everyone that has been apart of the team/program hasn't really said anything outlandish. They've all said how sad it is and unfortunate but none of them have defended Joe Pa sticking around. Ashton Kutcher apparently is the idiot doing that...

No kidding. The look on the guy's face was priceless. It was all he could do to try to respond to some of these questions without calling the person a fucking idiot.

A TRANSCRIPT OF THE JOE PATERNO FIRING

This is not really far off from how the press conference announcing the immediate firing of Joe Paterno and resignation of Graham Spanier sounded live.

John Surma: We're firing Joe Paterno.

Reporters: WHYYYYYYYYYY NOOOOO HOOOWWWW I MEAN UM LET US GET OUR STRAIGHT RAZORS ER NOTEBOOKS.

Reporter One: Did you offer your resignation to Coach Paterno when you spoke with him?

John Surma: No.

Reporter Two: Did you call him Coach Paterno? I have a box cutter in my hand. It's feeling peckish.

John Surma: I can't comment on that.

Reporter Three: Are you aware that countless kid's lives will be basically exactly they same because they'll never play for Joe Paterno now?

John Surma: I don't think that's within the purview of this meeting.

Reporter Four: What information did you have that the public didn't?

John Surma: None. We used the same information you used.

Reporter Four: THEN HOW CAN YOU SAY ANYTHING HAPPENED?

John Surma: Did you read the grand jury report?

Reporter Four: I READ JOE PATERNO'S BOOK NO ORDINARY JOE! THAT'S THE ONLY BOOK I NEED.

John Surma: That's not even a question.

Reporter Four: YOU'RE NOT A QUESTION.

Reporter Five: "WE ARE!"

Reporters: "PENN STATE!"

Surma: That is not a question.

Reporter Six: When you addressed him, did you look him in the eye? THERE IS A LIST FOR THOSE WHO CAN LOOK HIM IN THE EYE YOU BETTER BE ON IT.

Reporter Seven: WHY DID YOU FIRE HIM? WHAT AUTHORITY DO YOU HAVE?

[EVERYONE IN ROOM CHANTS SEVEN NATION ARMY FOR TWO MINUTES]

Reporter Eight, Who May Just Be A Student: Who is the all-time leader in rushing for Penn State, huh? HUH?

John Surma: Next question.

Reporter Nine: What about when you and Spanier tried to poison Joe Paterno by putting ricin in his hat, thus making his beard fall out and embarrassing him in front of the Cuban people?

John Surma: That was Fidel Castro and the CIA.

Reporter Nine: Says you and the CIA, puppet!

Reporter Ten: Aren't you making him the fall guy for this?*

John Surma: The other guys got felony charges.

Reporter Ten: How can you call this a thorough investigation?**

John Surma: [throws grand jury report at reporter]

Reporter Eleven: Coach Kill, what authority do you have to fire Coach Paterno?

John Surma: We're done here.

Reporters: BEAVER CANYON!

Reporters run out of room
