DE Zach Harrison (All B1G, Atlanta Falcons)

I hope this is a case of someone who is too polite to say bad things about a school combined with Birm trying to get clicks by playing up that dynamic, rather than Harrison actually finding Harbaugh appealing.

What the Michigan program is under Harbaugh (and just historically in general with the country club arrogance) and what Urban Meyer does at Ohio State are not compatible, and if Harrison actually is being tempted by what they are selling up there that is a red flag to me, even if he ultimately chooses the good guys in the end.

I hope it’s the first scenario.

I think LJ's relationship with mom wins this one for the good guys. And being 20 mins from home for the most part is a huge positive when your bond with your family is that strong. I can't imagine ttun measuring up in any other category that isn't academics. It's night and day from a football standpoint. Hairball is overpaid and undertanned. Meyer wins and puts better guys in the league.

Delaying his decision?

The Football Fever: Olentangy Orange's Zach Harrison delays recruiting decision

He is an imposing figure with a wide grin. Olentangy Orange defensive end Zach Harrison is glad to be gearing up for the season but has a lot of thinking to do before making the recruiting call on his college destination.

"I want to go to all three schools very badly," Harrison told ABC-6 Monday, the first day for high school football practice in the Buckeye State. Harrison has his list down to three: Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan.

"He's handled the attention very well," Orange head coach Zebb Schroeder said Monday. "It's pretty intense and I'm sure there are days it wears on him because he's getting recruited by some pretty storied programs."

Harrison had previously pointed toward his birthday, August 14th, to announce his decision but there is no timetable now.

Really hoping it is a delay because he is the type of kid who will have a hard time saying not to 2/3 of his finalists, therefore he is just stalling. Not saying he wouldn't be seriously considering all 3 because I think he is, just saying that I hope the good guys are the leader and it's just difficult to say no to the others. You know TTUN and PSU are putting the full court press on because, like us, it's not only having him on your squad but keeping him off the others.

The thought of him being a local kid and actually going to a division rival is...........well, it's not good.

Hard to get a read on this one. You’d think that he’d want to commit to get it over with as it seems like he doesn’t soak up the process like a lot of other recruits do. Then again, he strikes me as a smart kid who probably just wants to make the right decision for himself and he can withstand the recruiting pressure to make that decision.

This isn't just big because of where he's from but it's big because of who we lose after this next season. This would be worse then Carmen 10 fold because of where Zach would be landing otherwise.

I'm still at a loss though how any kid who it appears the family roots for OSU, from central OH, and has an OSU offer would consider other teams lol.. Definitely need this one though.

I think the biggest selling point can be the most confusing for him: playing under LJsr. He has said LJsr is the best DL coach in the game but may question his longevity. That will be an ongoing negative pitch for other schools. I think playing under Coach J is just as important for him as being being a Buckeye. The kid seems to be drawn to the idea of “going away for school” but more than anything he seems to be taking a business approach to it in regards to his future, getting to the league, etc. And that’s a smart approach IMO. So while he might be surrounded by lots of pro-Buckeye people he appears to be tuning that out somewhat. I’m actually impressed with how he is conducting things. I just wished it was close to being over and I had a guarantee he would attend tOSU. But, alas, I’ll be little boy blue holding my breathe in the corner. This is a massively important recruit.
