DE Sam Hubbard (All B1G, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

I think the TEs on our roster are great. I think we'll get a great coup in 2016 too. I wouldn't rule out getting a top TE in 2015 either...

Agreed. TE is absolutely loaded with young and veteran talent. Once Heureman and Vannett are gone, we will still likely have Baugh, Hubbard, Farrell, and Hausmann...we will be in good shape for awhile at the TE position and especially if we can keep Hinton. I also like the #4 pick, very interested to see how Hubbard develops at the position.

I like it as well.....but realized after my post that Curtis Samuel is also #4. Guess we won't be seeing them on the field together, or Sam will likely end up with a new number.

Yeah I totally did not realize that either. I'm thinking a redshirt year is likely for Sam now though so he can bulk up some and learn the position.
Probably will be the case. I initially thought the '4' was from a linebacker assignment, but OLs Underwood and Brady Taylor are sharing #73. Brady is almost a shoe-in redshirt.

2 of the 4 listed above will still end up switching at some point as they're all slated to be on the team in 2015.

This is one of those things that we look at 5 years from now and go, "wow, remember when he got switched to TE out of necessity....."

Kid seriously has the goods to be fantastic at the position if he puts everything he has into being the best.

He is bouncing around like a pinball. I like his long-term potential at LB though.
Other than possibly attending some position group meeting with TEs this summer, has he really bounced around?

You can say someone has changed positions 20 times but if they haven't actually practiced at any of them I don't think it really matters or sets them back in any significant way.

I think it is a combination of how high the offensive staff is on Noah Brown, and how unique Hubbard is as a linebacker. 6'5, 230 pound prospects with solid speed and great coverage skills are insanely rare.

Damn, shows how much offensive talent we have, when I forgot all about Brown. I liked his game a lot coming into the 2014 class but wasn't sure which position he'd end up
