DE Noah Spence (Official Thread)

I'm neither defending anyone nor slamming Spence when I say this - WTF is the NCAA thinking by classifying X as a "performance-enhancing" drug? Do they classify Viagra in the same way?

I believe WADA has considered banning it, dunno if they did or not.

Fucking ridiculous. Performance enhancing? Really?

Depends on what kind of performance he's trying to enhance.

The family says Spence unintentionally took the drug when he was given an open drink by people he didn't know at a party.
If this is true, he's lucky it was only ecstasy. He has to be smarter than this.

I'm guessing the Big Ten tests urine and not hair follicles. FWIW, E is detectable in urine for up to five days after use.

Performance enhancing or not I wouldn't disagree with a one year suspension. I'm getting sick and tired of this crap. It's embarrassing to the program. Spare me the "it's a college kid what do you expect" argument.

So, are you assuming he ingested it on purpose? And stop following sports if misconduct gets to you the way it does. Never will change. Regardless of what team you're a fan of.

Players testing positive for steroids would be embarrassing to the program. A player testing positive for a little X is embarrassing to the people who moralize about recreational drug use.

The issue here is that he's taking drinks from strangers like a country girl at her first frat party.
