I'm neither defending anyone nor slamming Spence when I say this - WTF is the NCAA thinking by classifying X as a "performance-enhancing" drug? Do they classify Viagra in the same way?

Fucking ridiculous. Performance enhancing? Really?
If this is true, he's lucky it was only ecstasy. He has to be smarter than this. The family says Spence unintentionally took the drug when he was given an open drink by people he didn't know at a party.
Performance enhancing or not I wouldn't disagree with a one year suspension. I'm getting sick and tired of this crap. It's embarrassing to the program. Spare me the "it's a college kid what do you expect" argument.
Players testing positive for steroids would be embarrassing to the program. A player testing positive for a little X is embarrassing to the people who moralize about recreational drug use.Performance enhancing or not I wouldn't disagree with a one year suspension. Not with such lenient punishment it's not.So, are you assuming he ingested it on purpose? And stop following sports if misconduct gets to you the way it does. Never will change. Regardless of what team you're a fan of.
