I'm considering the source here obviously, but when mentioning this on Gameday, they said it was an eligibility issue. What the fudge could that be if it's a conference issue but not NCAA?

I highly doubt that since it was a 3 game suspension. If it were just the orange then that could be a possibility.I can only assume it had to deal with not travelling with the team then. Since it was Big Ten and not OSU or NCAA.
Right I agree that it is still an unknown, there's just no way you get a three game suspension for not traveling with a team.Yet, it didn't violate NCAA or OSU rules though. Purely guessing, but I can't think of anything that would only violate conference rules, yet it did.

To me it explains why it was a B1G issue, and the appeals process explains the white lie about "personal reasons".
