Well, he's going to the NFL so he won't be recruiting for anyone. If he does half as well coaching pros as he did playing against them he'll do very well.

Best of luck, Mike.

The reason I say this is, if I were the type to jump to conclusions, it seems unlikely that Vrabel would up and leave his friend and boss Fickell during a situation where it's literally make it or break it for Fickell. Next year, it is (was?) going to be do or die for Fickell's defense to improve by leaps and bounds.

It is Vrabel's decision to take the Texans position, but that doesn't mean it wasn't swayed by some other decision. So does this mean that Vrabel knows something we don't? Could be that he wouldn't be working FOR his friend moving forward.

Guess we'll wait and see.
wait...this past year was the make it or break it year for Fickle and he broke it. Maybe it's not all him. I personally don't care to find out. You have a project leader and the project fails miserably. Who do you sack? All I know is Ohio State was in a position this year to play and win a NC. The only thing that kept it from doing so was its very poor defense. Meyer, as he had done in the past kept the DC to have a seamless transition. Something went wrong. Clean house and move on. As for Vrabel, all I need to know is that he did not use his alma mater as a stepping stone. Please tell me it ain't so.

On the bright side, the athletic dept won't have to replace as many broken whiteboards in the future.

Sure will miss you Mike. Like Spielman and the other greats you are one of a kind and will always be a true Buckeye.

I need a moment alone now.
