Say he is still committed to Illinois and still high on OSU and is not sure where he will end up but it will likely be one of the two. Plans to check out Virginia and Michigan State as well.

With his buddy Chris Fields verballing to the Buckeyes....I would think our chances are higher than high! How great would it be to pull one away from the Zooker.....now, I would love that!

I know some people (including insiders) have been confident he would flip (and I know exactly what it is that makes them think that). Personally, I've never been confident about it (even knowing what I know)...I have always thought he sticks with his Illinois pledge. Would love to be wrong about this one, but I don't see it happening...

it's interesting that you still have him marked down as a soft verbal, even though he says he is solid with Illinois.

his "solid" doesn't really mean "SOLID" did you happen to read his other comments?

"Say he is still committed to Illinois and still high on OSU and is not sure where he will end up but it will likely be one of the two."

does that sound SOLID to you?

But he'll say, "I'm solid to Illinois." in one interview, then say "I'm still comitted to the Illini, but I'm wide open." ????? (whatever that's supposed to mean) when visiting another school.

Some think he's solid to the Illini while other 'insiders' have stated they think he could switch.

One of the more curious situations in my mind.

It's all just speculation, but immediately after the Bucks offer, the waters seem to be muddied, but as time has passed, his comments are as posted below.

From IrishEyes...ND has offered. Says his committment to Illinois is strong and talks about his interest in ND. His coach talks about what makes him such a great player.

Seems logical that he'd be on a high after the offer, but as things settle down, he might feel drawn back to Illinois.

Or he could be bidding his time to hit the Illini staff with the "bad news". Lots of time still left in this one. One thing's for sure: When all is said and done, he'll be playing for a Big Ten school located in a town that starts with the letter "C".
