DE/LB Nathan Williams (official thread)

I've got to say that I'm really impressed with him so far. He's much, much faster than I expected. He always chases hard from the backside and does a decent job of taking away the cut back. He has yet to muff a tackle and has always wrapped up ball carriers. I can't wait to see what he does next year.

He kind of looks like AJ Hawk out there on the Dline

Think on this one guys the defensive line in 2010 will be this

Gibson-Heyward-larimore-Williams

Not to mention back ups like Simon, Thomas, Goebel, Mobley, Wells, and possibly Corey Adams.

Not to mention a linebacker crew of

Moeller-Sabino-Homan

With Sweat, Rolle, and Bell in play also

Don't forget A. Spitler and L. Wilson, they'll probably be starters next year.

oh well I was talkin bout after next year when Spitler/Wilson are both graduated. I think we'll be good next year (especially the dline) but in 2010 we should be sick in the defensive front 7
Oh, my fault, I was in the recruiting pages and thinking about next year being 2010. You're right, the d-line will be sick in two years if Heyward and Gibson don't blow up and leave early. Also, in response to Padraig, I bet N. Williams takes Mark Johnson's #44 next year.

God, but seeing as how this is a misdemeanor, I would guess a lot of running, maybe a quarter or two. This is disappointing, but with a relatively minor crime, you'd think he'll learn and I'm sure tress won't mind giving a lot reasons not to do it again.

What a shame! We're losing someone who could have really helped us get some pressure on Colt McCoy off the end.

This will make the mountain we have to climb against Texas a little higher.

Last years game v. LSU is a good example about what thin DE depth will get you. Heyward and Gholston we're suckin' wind in the 4th with nobody of value to give them a breather.

Looks like Williams is saying that it wasnt his fault, but he was taking the rap for a friend:

CPD: OSU freshman football player arrested on theft charge

Ohio State freshman defensive end Nathan Williams said his arrest yesterday for shoplifting is a case of trying to protect a friend.

Williams was arrested by Beavercreek police for allegedly shoplifting three shirts valued at $80 from the Macy's department store in the Mall at Fairfield Commons in suburban Dayton.
"I took the blame for somebody, I didn't do anything," Williams said tonight...
