"Lawrence is doing good,? Tressel said. ?I don't know that Lawrence will be ready to play. We've been trying to get (him) moving along so that maybe he could give us a little time. He has gotten in and played football the last three or four practices. But, you know, if the game were today, I don't think he'd played.
"The guys we were hoping would be healthy are. The guys we thought maybe could come back a little bit, Lawrence was probably the only one because Curtis Terry and Ross Homan we've made conscious decisions to redshirt. Outside of that, Lawrence is the one that we thought that maybe we'd get a little bonus, but I just, today, the 28th or 29th, whatever this is, of December, I don't see it.?
Rose is out.ShakerBuck;1042852; said:Acording to Tressel, via PD, Lawrence is unlikely to play in BCS champ. game.
Hopefully Rob Rose will be recovered from shoulder surgery and full go.
Otherwise or DE rotation has gotten real thin. Gibson, and especially Barrow could see quite a few snaps.
Or next year AND the year afterTS10HTW;1042912; said:Thanks for the update Tresselbeliever.
sounds doubtful LW plays...tOSU defense being slim at DE worries me a bit, but only a little bit. tOSU always has hungry players ready to step up and make a play.
However, this game will come down to more than just tOSU DE's it's just disappointing to not have LW in this one. On the bright side, if he doesn't play he'll still have 2 years of eligibility to make another run at a NC next year or the year after.
I'm still pulling for him to be ready by the 7th!!

Wilson Still Doubtful: Defensive end Lawrence Wilson suffered a broken leg in the first game of the season has not played since. Wilson has however returned to the practice field leaving some to wonder if he could participate in the bowl game. OSU defensive coordinator and defensive line coach Jim Heacock says probably not.
"He had a good practice yesterday and he's getting better and better and better but is he ready to go? I don't think he was at home," said Heacock.
"Down here I thought yesterday he looked good, but now how is he going to come back after yesterday's practice.
"I doubt it seriously," said Heacock of Wilson's prospects of playing.
The upside to Wilson's non-participation is that he can apply for and probably get a medical redshirt year and extend his Buckeye career is he does not play in the bowl game.
Bill Lucas;1050757; said:They want him 100%. A bgone break may take 6-8 weeks to heal but he then needs to do the conditioning to regain strength. My guess would be that this is the problem. The bone is healed but he hasn't regained 100% strength and mobility.
Honestly, it makes no sense to me for a guy to play that hasn't had reps all season. He's just way too far behind at this point to be a factor IMO.
