He spoke with media for the first time since his injury Wednesday at the Woody Hayes Athletics Center. After answering questions, Wilson stopped reporters to add how much he appreciated the supprot from Buckeye fans who sent him get well wishes through cards, letters and emails.
"A lot of people sent cards and emails and I just wanted to thank all the fans out there for sending emails and cards," Wilson, from Akron, Ohio, said.
"They said the whole Buckeye country wants you to get better. I thought that was real nice. They did not have to do that. I just wanted to say how much I appreciated it."
Uh, I think I heard that Thump is not fat. Tibor is of Indian extraction, not Middle Eastern.Brutus1;940756; said:Which one's Thump and which one's Tibor? Neither look fat nor Middle Eastern.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
There is an official estimate for when Ohio State defensive end Lawrence Wilson might return, but he apparently hasn't heard it.
Wilson suffered a broken tibia, the weight-bearing bone in his lower right leg, during the season opener Sept. 1 against Youngstown State.
Coach Jim Tressel said Wilson might not be able to return during the regular season.
"If we earn a bowl opportunity, that would be probably the realistic situation," Tressel said. "Not that it couldn't happen prior to that."

After recording Ohio State's first sack of the season against Youngstown State, defensive end Lawrence Wilson became one of the first to go down with a major injury.
Wilson, a graduate of St. Vincent-St. Mary High, broke a leg, but he didn't allow that to break his spirit. After realizing that he would miss a lot of action, his thoughts immediately turned to his teammates.
''That's my No. 1 priority. Helping Rob (Rose) and Cam (Heyward),'' he said. ''Helping our defensive line be ready and helping it be the best defensive line in the country.''
''What (doctors) told us (Tuesday) morning was that realistically, if we were able to earn a bowl opportunity, that that would be probably the realistic situation,'' coach Jim Tressel said. ''Not that it couldn't happen prior to that.''
Wilson said the thought really hadn't crossed his mind until asked about it.
''We haven't talked about it yet because it's still early,'' he said. ''We're just going to play it by ear and see what the doctors say.''
Ultimately when he comes back would be up to him, Tressel said.

Defensive end Lawrence Wilson hit an emotional low after breaking his leg in the opener Sept. 1, but Ohio State fans made sure he didn't stay down for long.
The junior from Akron has been inundated with e-mails from well-wishers since fracturing his right tibia (the larger of the two lower leg bones) and having a rod inserted surgically to stabilize it. OSU set up a link on its Web site for fans to contact Wilson, and a school spokeswoman said she's printed more than 1,000.
"They're coming from California. They're coming from Texas," Wilson said. "They're saying, 'The whole Buckeye country wants you to get better.' I thought that was real nice. They didn't have to do that, and I really appreciate all the e-mails."
