Fulmer, Weis visit Gainesville?s Wells

Gainesville turned into a hot spot for college coaches earlier this week when Phillip Fulmer of Tennessee and Notre Dame?s Charlie Weis flew into town to court the Red Elephants? **Keith Wells.?
?I?ve been coaching 11 years, and Wednesday was about the craziest day I?ve ever seen,? Gainesville assistant coach Todd Wofford said. ?I?d never seen a [college] team do what Tennessee did. They sent just about their whole staff to our school and they were there from 8 a.m. until 5:15 p.m. It was all day.
?It was like they were Keith?s shadow. Two coaches would walk him from class to class. Fulmer showed up about 2 p.m. They stayed for track practice then went to his house.
?Then about 7:30 p.m., Charlie Weis showed up at his house.?
Wells, who is on a recruiting visit to Notre Dame this weekend, is scheduled to announce his college choice on 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
?It?s really between Ohio State and Tennessee,? Wofford said. ?Keith is just checking out Notre Dame. He really didn?t think Tennessee was going to be in the mix until he went up there two weeks ago.?
Wells, a defensive end, had originally committed to Florida State in August. He backed off that commitment last month.
I hate to say this, but I might be the only one not sold on this idea. Fat Phil and Cheeseburger Charlie have been known to have a few tricks up their sleeves. (Not to discount Tressel at all, but I have bad memories of a certain DL last year who went to UTenn...)IrishKnight1023;1082392; said:Yeah "even" so theres buildup to the announcement, but he's already Buckeye.

And to ease those that are worried about ND, they just flipped TAMU verbal Kapron Lewis-Moore... He's a 6-4 240 lb. DE that will be an OLB in their 3-4...
