Wells still unsure if it will be the Buckeyes, Irish or Vols

Gainesville defensive end Keith Wells plans to do a lot of soul searching as he watches the Super Bowl.
Wells, who returned from a weekend trip to South Bend, Ind. Sunday afternoon, will announce at 11:30 a.m. on Monday if he will play college football at Notre Dame, Ohio State or Tennessee.
?Notre Dame made a lot of leeway this weekend,? Wells said. ?Right now, they?re all even.?
Wells said he doesn?t plan to answer his cell phone this evening, even if it appears Ohio State coach Jim Tressel, Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis or coach Phillip Fulmer of Tennessee has dialed his number.
?I won?t talk to anybody else before I announce,? he said. ?Just before I announce, I?ll call some of these coaches and tell them if I?m coming or not.?
Last week, the Irish looked to be a longshot to sign Wells. Now, Weis and company appear to have a legitimate chance.
?The visit to Notre Dame was nice,? Wells said. ?I had heard about the campus, but I wasn?t expecting it to be that beautiful. You could just feel the tradition.?
Not that I think it's going to happen this year, but signing day in 2003 we struck out with everybody. What a disappointing day that was. Keith is the player I want the most after Pryor, followed very closely by Harris although I think Brandon's more of a longshot.JCOSU86;1082565; said:Given past history, what are the percentages that OSU strikes out on JJ, TP and KW?
0%?

OSU football: Defensive end ready to choose
Buckeyes in Wells' final three; Pryor decision may be delayed

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
It wasn't clear whether quarterback Terrelle Pryor will announce his college decision Wednesday, but Keith Wells, another top prospect who is considering Ohio State, will make his choice today.
Wells, a defensive end from Gainesville, Ga., said he will make his announcement at about 11:30 this morning. He will pick from Ohio State, Tennessee and Notre Dame, having returned from an official visit to Notre Dame over the weekend.
Wells said last night that he had not made up his mind. His quandary perhaps offered insight into what Pryor, who is considering OSU, Michigan, Oregon and Penn State, might be going through.
Asked, for example, what stood out about Ohio State, Wells said, "It's the way it's an all-around school. Tennessee is primarily a football school and Notre Dame is primarily an academic school. But Ohio State is known for both.
"So Ohio State is one of my better options, but all of them are even right now. That's why I am about to go into this little seclusion period, because I could see myself playing at all three of those places."
Wells returns from Notre Dame

Notre Dame received a visit from talented Gainesville, Fla. defensive end Keith Wells over the weekend. The 6-foot-5, 211-pounder made the trip up to South Bend and came away impressed.
"I got up there Friday at about noon," he said. "The last couple days I hung out with the players, met with the coaches to watch film and toured the campus. I just gathered a lot of information about Notre Dame.
"What stood out about the trip was my meeting with the academic support system. They informed me of a lot of things and what the tutors do."

Here hoping he chooses the Buckeyes. He seems to be a really well grounded young man and will certainly be an asset wherever he chooses to go.
