Another huge commitment, we filled huge positions of need with huge talent when it seemed like those spots would just go unaddressed (think Smith, Friday and JBB at DE, then NPF at tackle...through in Olave at WR as well). Killer finish to this class and happy to have JBB on board.

Ohio State has had only three hyphenated names prior to this recruiting class: Eric Glover-Williams; Ken-Yon Rambo; and Emmett Keith-Jones, who I'm pretty sure went on to play synthesizer in an English New Romantic band after he left Ohio State.

The Buckeyes also signed three players named Ty in 2018: Tyreke Johnson; Tyreke Smith; and Tyler Friday. There have been only 15 Buckeyes named Ty prior to this class: five Tyrones (Harris; Harrison; Hicks; Howard; and Williams); five Tylers (Durbin; Everett; Gerald; Moeller; and Whaley); two Tysons (Gentry and Walter); a Tyvis (Powell); a Tyquan (Lewis); and generic Ty (Jones). I suppose you can also add Julius B. Tyler; James E. Tyrer; and Andree Tyree to that list. The Tyrekes are the first ever at Ohio State.

Thad Gibbs-Jemison in the late 1980s or early 90s? I believe he was recruited as Thad Gibbs, went by the hyphenated name when he arrived on campus as a transition, then went by Thad Jemison after a year or two.
