My X is better than your O is fine. Keep it simple so they can play fast and all that. The problem is when you get so predictable that even the Oregons can beat you.

Gotta be able to throw an off speed pitch every now and again to keep them guessing no matter how good your fastball is. For whatever reason, that’s been missing for a few years now.

New DC can go too far the other way though. Always has to be a balance.

I would think number 2 on the list would be in-game adjustments. Again something lacking with Coombs.

I said the same thing in Shaw's thread and I think the thinning of the heard is nothing but a positive thing. Means we're identifying who our guys are and hopefully can hone in on getting them to buy into the new system. At safety, we better be strong with McCallister, Proctor, Ransom, K Williams and Hickman (with some being able to play in the slot). Then at CB, Burke is lock down and Brown is solid if healthy. But we're going to need J Johnson and Hancock to step up big time with Cavazos and Banks gone...I think that's all we have at CB unless I'm missing someone.
