Hoping History Does Not Repeat........another article comparing Jenkins situation with that of former DB Ashton Youboty.

My opinion is that Malcolm is a little more physical than Ashton was. Ashton made excellent breaks on the football which made him a threat to pick off every pass but physical receivers were able to get some separation at times and Ashton started to gamble towards the end of the year, could be due to the hip pointer.

Malcolm's transformation since his arrival has been a beauty to watch. I also believe that his transition to the NFL will come with fewer hurdles than have Ashton's. Ashton needed one more year of college seasoning. Malcolm, unfortunately is ready now and will be getting paid handsomely come this time next season. Make it a memorable season Malcolm!

What do you mean by that, slipping on a out-and-up route at Camp Randall, or not holding on to the ball until clearly in the end zone? Thanks.

Being, shall we say, "overly careful" over the last few games of his career to avoid injury...

Malcolm is named the #13 pro prospect this year according to cfbnews.com

13. Malcolm Jenkins, CB Ohio State (Jr.)One of the nation's best all-around defensive backs, he has size, 4.3 speed, and plenty of production with 55 tackles and four interceptions last season. He's the lock down corner everyone's looking for, and there isn't a more sure open field tackling defensive back in the Big Ten. Don't expect the stats to be that great; everyone will stay away from him

Jenkins corners the secondary.......Jenkins talks about the secondary and the roles each one of them will play. Interesting note that in some situations.....nickel....Jenkins may be playing safety. Jenkins calls Chekwa impressive.

I read (I forget where) that in the nickel they've been working on Jenkins and Coleman at safety, Washington and Chekwa and the corners and Russel at the nickel. I kind of like that because you get our two best "ball-hawkers" at safety in Coleman and Jenkins.
