I know a lot of people were upset by Staten's departure, but I'll go on record now saying Kevin Dillard this year has been 10x's the PG that Staten would have been... He's a true distributor. Will be fun to watch him be the man next year.

How much of that is the product of the offenses they were running? Say Staten played in this years edition of the Flyers. Wouldn't you think he'd do quite a bit better? I think he would. May not be as good a distributor, but Staten showed he can ball.

That being said, I'm just as happy about Dillard and the rest of the teams development as the year wore on. They actually look like a team with a legitimate shot of winning the A10.

I know a few girls on that are cheerleaders for Dayton.

Doesn't really have a whole lot to do with anything, but...yeah...

This kid put in so much work. He came in his freshman year pushing 350 pounds and a non qualifier. He got his grades in order and lost 70 pounds during his redshirt year. We talk about guys in Urban's system "buying in". Big Steve had bought in 100% with Archie Miller and the Dayton program. He set a UD single season blocks record in his redshirt freshman season. The sky was the limit for this kid. So sad.


Just for perspective, here is a picture from his senior year of high school. It was amazing the transformation this kid made during his time at UD. I'm still in shock
