MADISON, Wis. -- Michael Flowers says he's been getting ready to guard Stephen Curry his whole life.
Flowers, Wisconsin's senior defensive specialist, likely will guard Davidson's star guard when the Badgers and Wildcats meet Friday in a Midwest Regional semifinal in Detroit. The winner plays the winner of Kansas-Villanova.
Curry comes into the game red hot. But Flowers said years of guarding opponents' stars has him ready.

DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP)?Basketball has been part of Stephen Curry?s life since he was almost no bigger than a basketball himself.

He was 2 weeks old when his mother, Sonya, took him to watch his father, Dell, play for the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers. The infant stayed awake the entire game, eyes fixed on the court.

Now the little guy the big schools didn?t want is the star of this year?s big surprise in the NCAA tournament.

The first question was about chasers.

That was the beautiful thing about Monday's press conference at Wisconsin.

Bo Ryan plopped down at a table inside the Kohl Center, Michael Flowers and Brian Butch just to his right. Then the cue was given. And the question came. And Flowers started explaining what makes a good chaser on defense -- worth noting because the Badgers are about to take their shot at containing Stephen Curry, Davidson's superhuman guard who is averaging 35 points through two games of this NCAA tournament

Davidson will pay for students to attend Sweet 16

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- One of Davidson College's famous perks is the free laundry service for students. Now the school is adding another freebie: watching the Wildcats play in the NCAA tournament's round of 16.

The school's board of trustees set up a fund Wednesday to pay for any student wishing to travel to Detroit to see Davidson play Wisconsin in the Midwest Region semifinals. Students will get free bus transportation, two nights' lodging and a ticket to Friday's game.

Behind sophomore sensation Stephen Curry, Davidson upset Gonzaga and Georgetown last week for the school's first NCAA tournament wins in 39 years.

While the drop-off laundry service and trip to Detroit are free, annual tuition at the exclusive, liberal-arts school is just under $41,000 a year.

This was tied at the half, but Davidson is now up 46-40 with about 15 minutes left.

And Wiscy already has 7 team fouls.

Davidson giving the Badgers all they can handle right now - foul trouble in the 2nd half for Bo Ryan's squad - Davidson in the Bonus, Badgers tailing 43-48 with just over 14 minutes left.

Events turning a little - successive fouls on Davidson - but then Curry hits a trey to answer a pair from the Badgers.

Gotta pull for the Big 10 but inside you have to love the passion that Davidson is playing with in the tourny. It's all Davidson against Wisky.....Curry is flat out a STUD!
