2023 CT OL Olaus Alinen (Alabama Signee)

Great point above re: the 3 Ohio OL we already have on board, i have to remind myself we've got 3 really tough dudes to be excited about already in the golf. Great year to have a great OL class right in our back yard, it allowed us to narrow in on the remaining 1-2 OL with top tier guys. Alinen is admittedly my favorite OL left that is realistic, so fingers crossed.
Yeah, it helped Frye immensely that he had 3 really good OL in OH. Because I feel fans would've crucified him if OH had a down year and he had to rely solely on OOS recruits. Locking down those 3, IMO was a very big deal and he showed that he can at least keep up with some of the big boys nationally.

said it elsewhere....West coast coaches (Frye) not well known among the East coast/Central schools. In that UCLA has not been the competitor as in the past, easy to overlook. Read somewhere (here?) that Day wanted Frye originally, but offer was declined. In all probability the elite OL recruits are waiting to see how well he does - and its d*** fortunate that the 'cupboard is NOT bare', in Buckeyeland. If the OL performs as well as we'all hope/expect/wish, then the O will excel, both passing and rushing. It may be that zero OL studs come aboard this year, but next year they may be more receptive. Go Bucks!

Sisu is a unique Finnish concept. It is a Finnish term that can be roughly translated into English as strength of will, determination, perseverance, and acting rationally in the face of adversity. Sisu is not momentary courage, but the ability to sustain that courage.

Columbus Blue Jackets' general manager Jarmo Kekäläinen is helping recruit.

Yeah, come on down! Need some beef in the pipeline to keep on rolling through the OL. Given OL mentality, they can see that what's playing behind them are worth blocking for....AND, while Joe six-pack is watching those skill positions, those 'in-the-know' will be watching the OL to see whom are opening holes, picking up blitzes, holding those elite DEs outside, etc....Go Bucks! Anyone wanna bet some vcash that tOSUs Red Zone percentage is substantially higher this year?

Really hope we made headway here, one of my favorite OTs in this class and upside/frame is off the charts. Going to be tough to beat Bama, but at least we got the visit. If we pull this one off, anything else at the OL position in the '23 class is gravy.

A finish like this would be the best possible scenario for Frye at this point. And that would be pretty incredible for Frye with his experience and time on the job with getting to know recruits

Seems like we get a onesey, then next year a onesey and develop another kid into a starter. Two years Bama got best two OT in country, and the best Center. We need some of that action. But do believe we've got alot of upper level talent on the OL that simply isn't able to crack the line-up. Not certain whether they have inherent flaws, or they're 'good', but not exceptional. Dunno, but most seem 'serviceable'......
