A couple of things that I've read recently is that omicron may be the virus' last gasp. Delta was it at its peak, and now it is finally dying off. Secondly, and should that not be the case, they think that the combination of Vax, booster and fighting off omicron is giving people a form of super immunity should a delta type variant reemerge.

I'm certainly hopeful this is the case, and I'm even hoping more that Omicron is causing the numbers of asymptomatic cases we were hoping for back in March and April 2020. Its burning hot, that's for sure.

Well, now my boss (sorta) is saying he has symptoms and needs to get tested. So that's about 4 out of 30 (that have said something)

Just saw a tweet where someting like 10K people in DC have tested positive in just the last 4 days. Which is an astonishing number if true (I hadn't had a chance to look at the source data so if that's off, I apololgize)

Serious question; just how definitive is the data showing the efficacy of the boosters?

I'm pretty healthy, work from home and don't have any high risk types in my immediate circle. The Moderna shot really put me down for a couple of days so I am seriously debating if I need the damn booster.

My morning call for work was the roll call of whose got Covid. One dude just had it Thanksgiving and got it again. (He said its not nearly as bad). Anyway, we're on 3 of 30 and I know a couple more are getting tested today. Needless to say, we're all at home. Hopefully next week too.

6 now!

I don't have the data, but I find myself in the same situation. I had the opportunity for the booster back in October, but declined for the reason that I couldn't afford the possible time off work if the shot beat me up like shot 2 did. I'm not against getting the booster, but at this point, I'm not all that sure I need it either.
