That's where I'm at. I'm no armchair epidemiologist but this latest variant does seem to be a pandemic for the unvaccinated.
Similar to my experience. I'm fully vaxed but haven't had the booster. My wife had covid last November, prior to either of us having had any shot. We didn't social distance at all, slept in the same bed, etc. I never tested positive despite 4 tests. She had a breakthrough of the delta variant some time this past summer. She and I both were fully vaccinated by then and her symptoms were more mild than her first go round. We practice zero social distancing (that is, between she and I). I have still, to this day, never tested positive. Knock on wood.
