I've never seen hospitals and local urgent care actually plead with people via social media posts to take precautions. Yes, they're asking for people to get vaccinated. But they're also on there reminding people to be sensible about washing hands, using masks in high foot traffic areas, social distancing and other basic hygiene/sanitation.
Again, that's something I've never seen any local health organization do on social media in the last 15 years.
Beds in NEO are damn near, if not already at max. I know 3 CC nurses and all 3 have said the same damn thing(s). This isn't some grand conspiracy or scare tactic at the healthcare level. It's real.
My only concern is overwhelming the hospital system and their staff along with potential long term consequences that may bring.
Beyond that? If you don't wish to take reasonable steps to protect yourself or, a foreign concept for so many, protecting others... then your life possibly being lost contributes to a far greater cause that Thanos and Dawrin appreciate and thank you for.
The problem is some decent people will likely die or feel the affects of loss and burden along the way.
