In the last full, twelve month flu season, approximately 24K died. So far, COVID-19 has killed over 40K in barely a month, and that's in spite of literally shutting down our economy to prevent its spread. It's 85 times more communicable than a standard strain of flu. Whatever genetic and scientific similarities this has to a common flu virus, it is nothing like one in practical, real world terms. To make that comparison is as ignorant as claiming that SARS is no different than a runny nose.

If you have to go to Wallyworld your safest bet is to go when it's quiet there. This could mean very early or very late in the day. And have a list of what you need and be efficient.
Unfortunately, there really doesn't seem to be a "quiet time" at my local store. Every day there are people lined up waiting to get in when the doors open at 7am. I live in a somewhat rural area, and even though there is another WW in a neighboring town about 10 miles away, everyone in a 3 county area comes to this store. Even when there aren't that many people in the store, most of them act like idiots. Still see groups of people or whole families just wandering around, stopping in the middle of aisles to chat etc...... A little common sense goes a long way, but it seems to be in short supply around here.

Well fine....but you're taking the rosey view of Mili's post vs the evil view of Taos. A better comparison is either:
- dismissing predictions vs stating death toll
- dismissing deaths vs rooting for body counts

Well, he just did it again in the poli thread... So... There's that.
