Absolutely. I'm just highlighting that rather large elephant in the room. It's there, but overlooked by many. The final covid numbers will be estimates too. And they will probably overlap somewhat given the similarity if symptoms and not all will be tested. Think the "I think i had this in December" phenomenon.

What's not overlooked is the 99% likelihood of "they shouldn't count that" being followed up by "I am convinced I had this in Dec/Jan"
Sidenote my 35 year old friend is now on day 39 and headed back into the hospital. Maybe he'll get his first test now. He had the misfortune of becoming symptomatic back in the early days before we were testing.
I've read small chunks about how much more wicked the flu was this year. Whatever the other stuff was, it was stubborn as heckBe nice to find out if its something else too... hope he's ok
I'm.not surprised about the "had it in December" phenomenon... I sarted coming down with some.wonderful ick on Thanksgiving. (Well, the dsy before i knew it was coming) then out of commission for a couple weeks. Whatever it was, it was nasty shit.
Supposedly from a Bronx liquor store. Not vouching for its legitimacy.
Sounds more like the doobie was laced but I don't have a lot of experience with that stuff. In mid-March I had a "crisis" night. Was awakened by severe cramping over most of my body and my heart was racing and I was congested. I was panicked and contemplated waking my wife to rush me to the emergency room. I have never experienced this before. Fortunately, I took asprin and hydrated and eventually I fell back to a exhausted sleep . Did I have Covid? There was no testing back then and even now there is little testing as only 500 some have been tested in county. With 15 confirmed cases.
