This is the thing that's being underappreciated here. When Braxton went down, JTB and CJ were ready. When Craig Krenzel went down, Scott McMullen stepped up and caused some to question whether Krenzel should still be the starter. How many times did we breath a sigh of relief knowing we had Kenny Guiton available? What he did against Purdue was legendary. What's worse for McCord is he seems to have regressed over the course of the season.

It’s easy, he makes even more money to call picks on Saturdays, and if he’s wrong, who cares. No stress, on to the next week. And with Meyers ego, ain’t no way he would ever only want to be an analyst. He’s in a win win situation now, he can go undefeated every year

Watched the same thing. I wonder if it was connected to recruiting Will Howard (who’s in Dallas) and there was miscommunication. Hard to believe he would just not show up for no reason when that’s never been the case.

And who is responsible for the backup quarterbacks not getting meaningful playing time, even in games against easy opponents? This is not a new phenomenon. Last year, it was for the Heisman. There is always an excuse. The same for the O and D lines. Yes, in and out every play or two causes inconsistency, but leaving people in a whole game gets you the 4th quarter in this game.

At the end of the day, it is the Head Coach that is responsible.

We need more coaches with experience.

Need a QB coach with experience, need a TE coach with experience and a offensive coordinator with a proven track record.

If that means pissing off Hartline then so be it. All these 5 star WRs don’t mean dick anyways when you can’t throw the ball or have time to throw.

At this point a new QB coach should be hired to be the “co-OC” and then you promote Fleming to customer and make James full time.

Need some new ideas and innovation. Sometimes you have to burn the crops to enrich the soil for further growth. Now is one of those times.

As a follow up to the missed meeting speculation, apparently a photo is going around of Dennis and Frye at a country concert when they were supposed to be at a meeting.

Someone on staff reached out to JBook to clarify the concert was at the hotel the night before and not during any scheduled meetings. They were both at next staff meeting the following morning. TIFWIW….

I’ve heard about that photo too, but apparently Hartline was also in the picture. I’m still wondering where the rumors of Missing team meetings has come up

It was a bowl event. Hartline has a photo posted of him and his wife at the concert and she’s wearing a Cotton Bowl VIP Hospitality badge.
