Good to see this thread, and LSU did a great job. A couple of comments if I may:

1. Hester is a warrior. Tough running the ball, picks up blocks, the kind of guy that you win championships with.

2. Flynn really impressed me tonight. Handled what pressure there was, made the throws necessary, and did what it took to win.

3. Dorsey is a beast, and seems to be a classy guy. Demanded a double team, which created opportunities for others, and still was a factor.

4. Thought the LSU O-line was better than advertised. Got a push when needed, and I don't recall too many hits on the QB.

We can be gracious because, although we may not have SEC speed or two crystal balls, I believe we value class above all else.

LSU deserved to win. They are the best team in the country. The SEC is the best conference in the country. I would hope their fans can celebrate without having to disrespect our program. (Doubtful though)

Couldn't agree more. I'm sorry that the people that surround you lack the class to not only appreciate who they beat but to appreciate what they won. That said, it doesn't mean that us Bucks who realize what we lost appreciate who we lost it to. Next year is another year, another opportunity to prove ourselves worthy to be crowned national champion. This year, we let it slip through our grasp, but we did so with class and realize that every opportunity we have should be cherished. We were better that 118 other teams this year, regardless of what other teams who failed to successfully seize the opportunity might say. And for that, we should be thankful, disappointed mind you, but still thankful for the oppotunity.

If you heard what SEC people were saying about Ohio State all year you wouldn't be such gracious defeatists. OH...

We've all heard the talk. Who hasn't? Grace does not translate to defeatism.

We've met some great LSU fans, and this thread is about offering them congrats on what is a wonderful moment for their program and fan base. Don't feel like you need to spit in the faces of good SEC fans, because 'bad' SEC fans have spat in yours. It's a pointless cycle, and in the wake of a loss to an SEC team, falls flat to boot.

I actually hope some of the LSU fans will stick around and represent year-'round here the way people from USC, Florida, WSU, Texas, Miami, and so many other fan bases here. There's inarguable value in diversity of perspective and opinion around here, even on a devoutly OSU-based fan site.

So, congrats indeed to any and all LSU fans, whether you're here to post or flame. We'll welcome the former, ban the latter, and life here on the Planet will go on.

This thread is proof of what a great fan base the Buckeyes are supported by. You've got a great university, a great football team, a true gentleman for a coach, and I'll say it again, a truly outstanding fan base as evidenced by what looked to be a pretty even crowd in the Dome.

I know your hearts are heavy, but you guys have one hell of a team, dominated by underclassmen. If you don't have to many Juniors elect to go to the NFL I think you will be experiencing what we are experiencing one year from tonight.

I know it's tough, but keep your chins up. You guys and gals are a class act and a pleasure to associate with.
