Please dont absorb this into the game post full of off-base rube statements

Pryor looks AWESOME running....12 ypc?!?! Sick. Beanie looked ok but I thought Herron was the better RB today. The big run to the goal line had a burst that Beanie doesnt have back yet.

Pryor does not look very good throwing but Boeckman looked great. I hope you juggle the two some.

Robiskie's catch on the second TD was NFL quality--sick stuff.

And for the so-called garbage TD's and padding stats...I didnt see the Ohio State team give up in the 4th quarter when they were down (Pryor was out there, Robo, etc). Why would you expect a team to play 3 quarters?

Ohio State played some 2nd teamers on in the 4th, but so did Minney. They had some 2nd team O-line, and ALL true frosh recievers (all 2nd teamers). The last TD catch by McKnight was his first career reception. Its too bad when fans cant give props to another team...

I thought the game was called much better in the 2nd half. There was a phantom face mask against tOSU that was bad, and Gopher fans were [censored]ed they took 50 million seconds to blow Simmons dead after he had 5 Buckeyes on him and got that TO. Bad call IMHO. Wouldnt have changed the game, but still a bad call.

For the Gophers...Eskridge played good and juked some Bucks silly in the open field. Traye Simmons also had at least 3 pass break ups. DT's played good.

tOSU D line came to play today...easily the biggest difference outside of Pyror. Weber had no time esp in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. Williams was nasty. Lauranaitis was "quiet" yet had a ton of tackles.

Good luck rest of the way!

Same to you Goph, your boys have made quite the rebound and have a bright future!

I think all of us are delighted to have an informed, polite fan in our midst. Should you feel the need to switch allegiance, we have room in Buckeye Nation:)

Haha thanks :p

I have a lot of respect for Tressel, and cheer for tOSU against Michigan, but I put so much heart into my Gophs I have no "fandom" left for other programs. I appreciate and respect tOSU more than other Big Ten teams.

Please join me in hating Wisky and Brett Bulimia :[censored]ed:

To understand why Pryor is missing on some of his passes, you have to understand that a lot of those "bad" throws are from when he is making something out of nothing, or from when he is on his back foot. When he sets himself and throws the football, he is pretty darn good. That being said, although he is way above average for a 5th game true freshman who missed all of spring practice, he can still always get better.

I took your post as somewhat condescending......
Pryor is a better passer than you think. His motion is a bit awkward and he still has some room to grow obviously, but he was by far the best QB on the field today for both teams.

Your DB Simmons wouldn't make our 2 deep at OSU. He is a real trash talker considering he was getting torched the entire game. He is simply an average DB at best.

I like the way your team played and most of your players. But the jawing and the trash talking was obviously met with superior talent and skill by OSU.

OSU cleared the bench in the 4th quarter....not just played its 2nd stringers. Minnie played its starters the entire game. So please don't try to say both teams equally reached to the benches.

Completely agreed.

The time he had two defenders trying to bring him down and off both feet, leaning backwards, he threw to the...left(?), almost out of bounds for an incompletion to avoid the sack...That's what Vince did to US, as a SENIOR. He's just a load, period. Unless you get a clean rib shot, you're going to struggle trying to bring him down by yourself. Look the fuck out Big Ten. This kid is going to run shit for a couple years.

Same here. Garbage points are what they are (I'm channeling Denny Green here)...points that are meaningless to the outcome of the game. No one is saying that Minny should have stopped playing hard or should have taken a knee, but to act like we should acknowledge those points to be an indicator of a closer game is silly. If you want someone to go on and on about the Minny team then maybe you should mosey on over to a Minnesota board.

The Gophers looked pretty solid today, they may sneak up on a few unsuspecting foes and get away with a few more wins. They appear to be on the right track to at least returning to respectability. They sure play with fire, and that is a credit to the players and coaches.
