Your DB Simmons wouldn't make our 2 deep at OSU. He is a real trash talker considering he was getting torched the entire game. He is simply an average DB at best.

Don't take anything away from this young man. He had a hell of a game. I even caught myself cursing a few times because of the plays he made. He has great instinct, and deserves any praise he gets.

Minny got handled today, but they put up a fight.

Great game, and good to have you here.

Go Bucks, and go Big Ten!

He had a few good plays. But nearly every big run and significant completion came right over him. He would get toasted for 3 straight plays then make a decent play and break up a pass (usually because it was underthrown) and would make that taunting incomplete gesture

Guys like that get under my skin because they refuse to give any credit to the competition.

You may not remember but before the game he was on record saying he didn't think any of our players were special except Beanie.....that is fine, but he went on to say that in fact he didn't see anything that was concerning at all.

Pryor looks AWESOME running....12 ypc?!?! Sick. Beanie looked ok but I thought Herron was the better RB today. The big run to the goal line had a burst that Beanie doesnt have back yet.

Disagree with the Beanie and Boom. Beanies first long run in the 1st quarter got things rolling. Team played with a lot of swagger and confidence after that run. I like Boom, but face it there is only one Beanie.

I took your post as somewhat condescending......
Pryor is a better passer than you think. His motion is a bit awkward and he still has some room to grow obviously, but he was by far the best QB on the field today for both teams

But the jawing and the trash talking was obviously met with superior talent and skill by OSU.

OSU cleared the bench in the 4th quarter....not just played its 2nd stringers. Minnie played its starters the entire game. So please don't try to say both teams equally reached to the benches.
I didnt know jawing and talking was bad in football. Should we be monks or something walking around? Should we just quake in our boots at Brian Hartlines presence and be humbled?

Boeckman is a lot better passer. Pryor does not make that throw to Robiskie in the end zone...at least not yet.

Its not Pryor's throwing motion....just havent seen him make any good throws yet. Boeckman I have. Pryor is still unproven. He has thrown TD's but they are floaty balls and not particularly tough for a QB with talent. I have yet to see anything thats been tough that he has had to do throwing. Saw him miss a few wide open guys though.

He's not "a lot" better, take it from people who watch every Ohio State game. What exactly is a "floaty ball"? Never heard that one before. Boeckman has missed his fair share of open guys, he threw one up into triple coverage yesterday as well so he's certainly not without fault when it comes to passing.

Completely agreed.

The time he had two defenders trying to bring him down and off both feet, leaning backwards, he threw to the...left(?), almost out of bounds for an incompletion to avoid the sack...That's what Vince did to US, as a SENIOR. He's just a load, period. Unless you get a clean rib shot, you're going to struggle trying to bring him down by yourself. Look the [censored] out Big Ten. This kid is going to run [censored] for a couple years.

Vince Young's "senior" season was his first year in the NFL. He only played 3 years at Texas. Just an fyi. :)

He's made a couple impressive TD throws, and a deep throw to Robo last week that probably should've been caught. It would've been about a 90 yard TD.

The two impressive TD throws I'm talking about were the one to Robo yesterday, and his first TD pass ever, to Nicol, against Troy. If he would've overthrown Nicol, it would've been out of bounds. Underthrow? Either picked or tipped. He threw it right at Nicol's head, just out of reach and just where it needed to be to be in-bounds. Really underrated throw, IMO.

Boeckman is a better passer, but Pryor makes better decisions. OSU football = better decisions win games. Todd's decision-making is a factor in his benching.

The TD pass on the fade to Robiskie in the corner of the end zone was a perfectly placed pass. Then again, the Minnesota DB bit on Robiskie's route so badly that he was wide open, which is probably what made you think it wasn't a great pass (i.e., b/c it didn't need to be).

And for the so-called garbage TD's and padding stats...I didnt see the Ohio State team give up in the 4th quarter when they were down (Pryor was out there, Robo, etc). Why would you expect a team to play 3 quarters?

Ohio State played some 2nd teamers on in the 4th, but so did Minney. They had some 2nd team O-line, and ALL true frosh recievers (all 2nd teamers). The last TD catch by McKnight was his first career reception. Its too bad when fans cant give props to another team...

I don't think that anyone here is not giving props to Minnesota, but we're poining out that you've got to admit that there is a big difference between a 34-21 game in which the losing team scores 15 points in the fourth quarter after being down 34-6, and a game in which the score is 24-21 and the winning team scores the last ten points to pull away at the end. Minnesota did not give up in the fourth quarter, and they should be given credit for that. But the outcome of the game had already been decided and OSU had inserted many subs on defense before Minnesota reached the end zone.

Gonna be honest here...I am with the Gopher fan on this one...

Don't get me wrong I love TP and thing he brings more to the table than TB...

But he is right in saying that he is not a great passer YET...He is going to continue to improve, he is not like Juice Williams was as a freshmen, but he nowhere near a guy like say Troy Smith was his senior year as a dual threat QB in terms of passing the ball...

On the deep post where he hit Hartline for 20+ Hartline was wide open, if he hits him in stride, instead of making him wait it goes for a td...if he throws the flag to Small on time it is a 25 yard gain instead of giving the defender time to make the play...If he throws the ball to Robo on the fade to the inside it is a td instead of a PI call...

This all comes with time, and that is what I think the Gopher fan is talking about in terms of floaty ball, they are late, and he doesn't have the touch on his ball yet...He seems to throw most ball at top speed...

The thing I would like to see is more WR screens, because he seems to do a very good job in leading his receivers up the field, and also his option pitch looks like he has been running it for 10 years...

He is not as bad a passer as what VY was his frosh season tho...Which is a good thing, but he is not a polished QB in any way yet, and he gets by on athletic ability, and the fact that he puts lots of fear into the defense in terms of him running that the creep up and he gashes them...

ehh I don't think Minny fan's comments were that bad, considering it's from a fan of the other team that just lost to tOSU.

his comment about Beanie not being fast is funny; I guess Beanie suffers from the "747 syndrome": when you watch planes take off at the airport, the 747 looks like it's hardly moving at all... when in reality it's going 375 miles an hour... because it's so freakin' big

Now, I'm not sayin' Beanie is going 375 miles an hour.... or even 300... but 250?? That's possible!

And yes, I agree with him that Terrelle "Freshman Record 4 Touchdowns in One Game in his first start" Pryor just can't throw worth snot.
