Rather than start a whole new thread regarding my minor problem, I thought I would use this one. Today I tried to play a youtube video and got know what sound whatsoever. I know that my sound is working but I cannot understand why I can not get any sound when I try to play a youtube video. Thanks for any suggestions.

Make sure all volume tabs are on..Reinstall flash player, make sure multimedia audio in enabled in your browser. Check to make sure you have all codecs downloaded as well.

Where would I go to reinstall my flash player and I looked at add-ins in Internet options and did not see multimedia but not sure if I am looking in the right place.

I do get sound in when you Windows media player but I get no sound whatsoever when trying to play a youtube video.

I do not understand what codecs are or where they are located.

In the system tray on the lower right side of your screen (by the date/time) you should see a speaker. Double-click the speaker to open the Master Volume control panel. You should have multiple sound sliders... mess with these for a bit to see if one of them is causing the issue. If that isn't it then you may need to reinstall Adobe Flash Player as powerlifter suggested.

Adobe - Adobe Flash Player

I did both and rebooted and still no sound when I tried to play a youtube video. I know that it was working about 3 weeks ago. Frustrating.

I don't know if this will help or not but I can go to a web site that has sound and I can hear everything but go and try to play a Youtube video and no sound at all.

Problem solved. My wife's 14 year-old grandson:) told me that there was a volume adjuster on the bottom bar of all youtube videos and sometimes that "adjuster" will get pushed down. I have fixed that and it looks like it has solved the problem. Thanks for everyone's help. I guess sometimes we try to make the simple solutions to complicated.

This problem is very confusing. I have one computer and the mouse cursor will not move. Bad mouse right ? wrong. The new mouse didn't work. I put the mouse onto another computer and it works fine. So I moved computer #2 to the station where computer #1 was.
Now the mouse doesn't work. ?? ?
Anyone have any ideas ?
