What is Arrieta thinking? Holy hell, that was close.

Would have been an easy goal if the right pass had been made, but I have no complaints otherwise for Arrieta. He played brilliant around the goal.

That's game! 3 points on the road! That's huge.

Arrieta scored his second goal around the 36th minute mark to give the Crew a 2-1 lead on the road.

Fast-forward a bit and we're at the 60th minute, same score.

Loving this 4-3-3

Sounds exciting, disappointed that I missed the match. Can't wait to see Higuain added to that mix. It feels like we're starting a whole new season.

The back line has been incredibly strong in the last month or so. Josh Williams playing at left back is really beginning to pay off. He's got very high energy, and can cross the ball with some venom. Plus he's a rock when defending, even though his defending was a little weaker when playing inside at CB. I think Williams has found his position with the Crew, and he'll split time with Vukovic. I like what Vukovic brings to the table as well. Very different playing style, not so defensive, but very nice footwork on the ball.

Jairo Arrieta really opened my eyes when the Crew took on DC United. It just looked like he was the only one that wanted to score out there. He found 3-4 great opportunities but just missed on each occasion. Needless to say, I'm VERY excited what the future brings for him.

Another guy worth mentioning who hasn't gotten enough credit, IMO, is Chris Birchall who's come on and all but solidified his position at CDM. He's played absolutely fantastic back there.

May the Lord be with his friends and family.
Rookie midfielder Kirk Urso died last night at the age of 22.

Uniformed police officers were dispatched to Park Street Patio at 533 Park St. at 12:50 a.m. Urso was transported from there to Grant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:51 a.m. The coroner's office is handling the investigation.

A statement issued by the Crew said the club will have no further comment while the circumstances of his passing are still being determined. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning.

Urso was selected in the first round of the MLS supplemental draft. He saw action in six games including five starts but has been sidelined after undergoing surgery for right adductor tendonitis and has not been around the team much in recent weeks. The Crew played on the road last night against D.C. United. Urso did not make the trip and was back in Columbus. The Crew's reserve league match scheduled for today against D.C. has been canceled.

Tonight's match vs. LA is about to kickoff on NBCSN. First match back after Urso's death. Hope the crowd brings it tonight and they come away with a win.

Higuain is supposedly in the house tonight, but not dressed. He'll be introduced at a press conference tomorrow I believe.

Starless (one, technically) Galaxy team vs. a team hungry to win.... Me thinks Crew win this game. 3-1

The one Galaxy goal being from none other than Keane

EDIT: Didn't realize the game started a half an hour ago. Whoops.

Can't wait to own a Crew jersey with Higuain's name on the back.

Getting all kinds of chances and half-chances over the last five minutes. Would be nice to convert one of these before halftime.

Columbus looking like the better team, from what I've seen. Really pushing forward and giving LA's back line fits. Gotta convert the chances though!
