Come from behind win and don't look now, but they are only 1 point out of the playoffs and the stretch between now and February 15th (the next Detroit game) is very manageable......

So juiced about the playoff possibity of the young Jackets. Hope that this type of playing on the ice continues.

DALLAS -- Michael Peca predicted it would happen in the minutes leading up to faceoff last night. Ron Hainsey, two days earlier, said it would happen sometime on the Blue Jackets' five-game trip. Anybody need lottery tickets?
Kris Russell scored not only his first NHL goal, but his second, too, leading the Blue Jackets to a 4-2 comeback win over the Dallas Stars last night in the American Airlines Center.
The player they call "Little Shake" -- a reference to his size and the protein drinks he's always chugging -- carried a big stick in Big D.

Notebook: Jackets gain winger in minor-league trade

DALLAS -- Now that the Blue Jackets are fading out of the playoff picture in the Western Conference, general manager Scott Howson might like to swing a trade that would shake up the dressing room.

Yesterday's minor-league trade with the Colorado Avalanche won't achieve that, but the Blue Jackets acquired a player, winger Mark Rycroft, who could play with the club later this season.

CHICAGO -- Three weeks ago, when the calendar flipped to 2008 and the Blue Jackets could be considered bona fide playoff contenders, coach Ken Hitchcock cautioned about getting too high after wins or too low after losses.
It's not easy advice to heed, even for the coach.

Jackets notebook: First goals give rookie Russell chance to relax

CHICAGO -- Defenseman Kris Russell averaged 24 goals over his last three seasons of junior hockey.
So, even in the NHL, the Blue Jackets rookie never expected to wait so long before he scored. But Tuesday, he finally scored the first two goals of his NHL career, leading the Blue Jackets to a 4-2 win over the Dallas Stars.
It took him 46 games.

and on the methot front he was sent down to syracuse cuz over the as break he can play 3 games down there, he was supposed to be scratched today anyways, funny enough he didnt have his passport, missed his flight okts gf was flying to chicago for the game, she brought it to him and supposedly landed at 530 pm and would play tonight at 7 for cuse. he then has two more canadian games and then possible recall after the as game.
