ill select some good passages from todays dispatch articles that obj posted..

these are all from head coach ken hitchcock...

"We’re trying to build a team based on a foundation of accountability,"
"We know what’s going on here. You can’t fool people and say it’s close, 5-4. When you start the way we did against Phoenix (a 3-0 loss last week), when you start the way we did tonight, and it’s this time of year and the temperature is turned up in this type of season, you are what you are."
"You’re not going to fool the 18,000 who show up and watch the game, nor are you going to fool the people who watch it or broadcast it,"... "To me, it’s clear as heck. So we have to deal with it. That doesn’t mean we deal with it tomorrow, or the next day. You have contracted players. You have everything going on. But we’ll do whatever we can as an organization. We’ve given everyone the benefit of the doubt. The time to compete is now, and some people have fallen off a little bit. We’ve had some people who’ve gone way up and moved to another level, and that’s great. But we have people way below the bar."
"Obviously, we have people who are not competing. It drags everybody else down."
"These are competitive issues about individuals who aren’t carrying their weight."
