Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

4 of the 5 goals tonight from guys the CBJ have a result of the Jones trade. And that’s with Boqvist on the shelf injured. The Hawks? 4 points in 11 games. Just have to hope Chicago doesn’t win the lottery this year.

Yeah, if Chicago gets #3 and the Blue Jackets tank; they should get 2 pretty good picks in the 2022 NHL draft. And maybe the Jackets will be able to trade Korpisalo to a contender for another #1 before the trading deadline?.....8D

3 Teams That Should Pursue Trading for Blue Jackets’ Korpisalo

The Columbus Blue Jackets may be looking to trade Joonas Korpisalo sooner than later after he started for the second consecutive game. This could be an indication that the team is trying to showcase his talents in the hope that his numbers improve from last season in order to boost his value.

Last week, David Pagnotta joined NHL Now to discuss the future of Korpisalo in Columbus. It is the perfect time to get him his reps in, as there could be multiple teams vying for this goalie. He states that teams know his potential, and big clubs have inquired about him before.

Yeah. And 2023, too. If they were to land Shane Wright and/or Connor Bedard, that's some bullshit.

There's no way Chicago would get both players. If Chicago's first-round pick in 2022 is one of the top two selections, the Blue Jackets will receive the Blackhawks' first-round pick in 2023.

Arizona and Montreal are pretty shitty in their own right. I would imagine Chicago will win enough to probably stay out of the bottom 3 or so...

Columbus Blue Jackets place LW Patrik Laine on Injured Reserve

The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed left wing Patrik Laine on Injured Reserve, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Laine suffered an oblique strain in Wednesday's game at Colorado and is expected to miss four-to-six weeks.

Laine, 23, has recorded three goals and seven assists for 10 points with six penalty minutes, three multi-point efforts, two overtime winners and a +2 plus/minus rating, while averaging 17:43 of ice time in nine games with the Blue Jackets this season. He leads the team in game-winning and overtime goals, ranks second in points and multi-point games (tied) and is third in assists.
