While I'm pretty sure that unless they are 4-4 by the end of next week Richards is gone, firing him won't fix anything. The defense is that bad and Bob isn't 20 goals in 5 games bad, but he's not going to be Hasek in 1999 and stop everything thrown his way either.

tonight will tell us a lot - if they can't beat Toronto, it wouldn't surprise me to see Richards fired and some of the older guys get shipped out for younger players or D-men.

I cannot see them making any trades but firing Richards is certainly an option and a good one. Something needs to be done to shake this team up and fast for the season is completely gone. Saw yesterday in an article in the Dispatch which I could not access but it said that Bob has lost all of his confidence and I guess that came from him.
