Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

No kidding.

Put me in the camp that is very impressed with Anisimov.

Also, despite the lack of talent, it's nice to have a team back that plays hard, even if they don't always play well.

Jackets look very impressive last night. Mason looks like he is starting to come around these last 2 games to where he was a few years ago. I'm not going to hold my breath, but it's a good sign. I think bringing in the guys from the Nash trade that are used to winning has brought a whole new mindset to this team. I'm hoping they've turned a new leaf and are starting to understand what it takes to win at this level. Without Nash this team doesn't have a true leader and these guys understand that. I think they are all working harder this year knowing they can't just fall back onto Nash's shoulders to bring them out of a slump or to win a game.

It will be interesting to see how they respond on Tuesday against the defending Stanley Cup champs after a big win like last night. I've said it before, but this team looks alot better than anything we've seen in the 2-3 years. If these guys can go into games with more confidence and get that "winning" mentality, I think they could be fighting for a playoff spot.

They'd actually be a good team if they had a couple top line players. Those aren't easy to come by. Hopefully the drafting gets better ASAP, because that's where top line players come from for small market teams.

They have 3 1sts in this years draft. This is one of the deepest drafts in years, maybe in a decade.
