Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

Solid goaltending, and players who can actually make things happen from the blue line. Jack Johnson was hesitant to shoot on the PP last night, but Wiz wasn't. That's a really big deal for any team, to have someone who can get shots on net from the blue line on the PP.

Dubinsky hasn't shown me anything though so far... I haven't noticed him at all.

Which is why Detroit was dominant for so long - Lidstrom, Chelios, Rafalski, Schneider, Kronwall, Fischer - the only one left if Kronner and he isn't in the same class as the first four.

If Columbus builds a solid back line and Bob turns into the goalie he was drafted to be, Columbus will definitely be respectable this year.

He did take a stupid penalty monday night.

Jackets just had a PP goal taken away on the worst goaltender interference call I've ever seen. I'll post a video when one is posted. I'm not the only person saying that. Worst [censored]ing call ever.

Given the refusal to re align which results in a brutal travel schedule and the calls that go against this team, I am of the opinion that the powers that be just don't want this franchise to succeed.

It's really the only conclusion I can come up with. I have never seen a call that bad to take away what would have been a point given the way the game ended up.

Fucking officials should be more accountable. They should have to go in front of the press and answer questions about their shitty calls.

Fucking unreal.

Yea that call was unreal. I don't know how they didn't overturn the wave-off after looking at replay. Goalie was never touched and his foot was not in the crease when the puck was coming towards the net. It's amazing how many other players and teams get away with worst positions than this and get credit for a goal. Even the Hawks coach said afterward it should've been a goal for us.

That's twice now this season the refs took away points from us. The first shootout goal being waved off against the Red Wings, even though it was a pass to himself and not a shot; and then again last night.

Someone has to have it out for us. This team looks good at times and is playing their asses off every night. I haven't seen the BJs look this good and solid in years...yet we have nothing to show for it. In a shortened season like this, every point truly does matter. We could be at 6 or 7 points if it wasn't for these damn refs at home.

Dan O'Rourke is the asshole who waved off the goal last night.

Not the first time this dick head has blown a call. Look him up. He's the typical "look at me" ref and goes out of his way to fuck with teams.

It never ceases to amaze me that a so called professional league continues to serve up these garage league officials.

2-1 win last night vs. the Dallas Stars.

Bobrovsky has to be named the full time starter at this point. The team just plays differently in front of him.

Mason hasn't played poorly, but the rest of the team plays tight in front of him, like there is no room for error (which there really isn't).

Mason is still lazy in net, he tries to catch everything with his glove instead of using proper positioning still (but it's not nearly as bad as last year) and his glove honestly sucks at this point. He's still a half-step slow in every reaction.
